Having great prizes will increase the
excitement surrounding the event and increase the appeal
for players to register.
Often times you can secure sponsors to
cover the cost for such events.
Prizes
consist of the following categories:
1. Goodie Bag – also referred to as a “tee
package”, every golfer receives this at check-in or it
is placed in their cart. This frequently includes items
such as logo’d balls, tees, bug spray, sun lotion,
sponsor coupons, etc.
2. Placement Prizes – prizes or money awarded
for top finishers. Typically the top 5 places are
awarded prizes and you can mix it up by awarding prizes
for 20th, 30th, and last place.
3. Skills Contests – closest to the pins,
longest drives, longest putts, etc.
4. Raffle – sold at time of registration
check-in, raffle tickets offer a great opportunity to
raise additional revenue and assure that almost everyone
leaves a winner.
